The cavavan area at Copeton Dam Recreational Area is full of fauna. The grounds abound in kangaroos. During the dry season, the green grass of the camping area lures them. This mama had her Joey safely tucked in. (grin) |

The ever present
Kookabura is there to serenade the campers.

That evening, Allan and I counted over 100 kangaroos in the park. When
we awoke the next morning, we had no lights. The kangaroos feeding that
night bumped our electrical cord loose from its socket.
